The main film is pretty good, primarily filled with aphoristic descriptions of what cinema is. The best part of this disc is the bonus material - more than two hours long - and most of it dating from experimental works from the 1920s. Some parts of those are very interesting and seems the techniques have only been used by music video directors seventy years later.

the boundary pushing clips are hard on the eyes and headache producing with all the flashing of images. I enjoyed the rest of it.
