Book on CD that we listened to on road trip (took about 18 hours) - be prepared for foul language and violence, however I did not find that I was overwhelmed by this or that it detracted in any way as it was used to enhance the reality of the characters involved. Overall was surprised how much I got caught up in the story as is not a genre that I usually read.

Half of this novel is fantastic! 1/4 of it is unnecessarily graphic and violent with maiming and torture. Still, hard not to like this story overall. 8 of 10 stars.
