Derived from a Stephen King short story, The Running Man bears almost no resemblance to its source material. The story takes place in a post-apocalyptic future where inmates are forced to participate in a televised game show hosted by Damon Killian (Richard Dawson ... yes, THAT Richard Dawson) where contestants must battle futuristic gladiators to survive. Dawson's casting is a stroke of brilliance and takes this movie up a level from the usual pointless Arnold actioner. This is a highly entertaining movie surprisingly filled with compelling story and suspense. Strap in and take yourself on a thrill ride!

Rated 4/10. Quite a fairly cheesy 1987 movie, but I like to see Arnie in action, so I watch.

The "acting" is predictable, much like the plot and outcome. In the end, the action wins the day.

Retro future; although it did predict insane reality shows. They aren't far off from the truth. Yes, this isn't the best of Arnold, but it's certainly a fun popcorn movie. It doesn't have a message, and that's fine. Not everything has to preach to you all the time. Want to be entertained? Watch this movie.

Pretty funny it takes place in 2017. Fortunately, the present isn’t what the past predicted it as. Pretty formulaic- you know he’s going to win. No big message, seriously dated by the clothes and hair.

An Arnold Schwarzenegger classic, the running man is an old and compelling movie which you can watch again and again, it keeps you entertained with the simple yet deep plot and the non stop action which Arnold is known for. You are swiftly thrown into this movie from the very beginning as Arnold has to survive the dangers which is the Running Man, it takes the term blood sport to a whole new level and being a movie based off of one of  Stephen King’s short stories, you know it has to be good. Overall, I must say that this is a movie everyone should see once in there life, it may just give you a new view of the world as the entire meaning of this movie is far more than just the surface. - @Kuhaica of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
